PGod raises up in every generation a remnant who he himself commissions to usher the people of God into His presence. Such a person is Psalmist Eric Armstead. A worship leader, minister, songwriter, teacher are just a few anointing Psalmist Eric Armstead walks in. A church leader and choir director for over two decades, Psalmist Armstead is fully capable of moving, however God directs him to move in the worship experience. Psalmist Armstead was always surrounded by music early in life having been raised in a musical family. He is the father of four wonderful children, (Ericka, Maya, Mykel, Gabriel); and husband to an extraordinary woman, (Katrina) of God. A prolific and award winning writer, Psalmist Armstead’s music has been recognized on every level. The song “One God” was one of two finalists in a national song writing competition sponsored by the Academy of Gospel Music (Dove Awards). Producer, arranger, minister of music Psalmist Armstead has always loved choirs and one day after hearing the voice of God started his own, Ministers of Worship.
They that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth. In November 2003 a group of anointed people were brought together by God to minister in truth through song. Leaders in their own church ministry, God has brought their individual gifting and anointing together to minister at another level for this season. Worship is the focus and goal of this choir. By allowing the Holy Spirit to have free reign in their lives, Ministers of Worship is able to minister in the authority of God to tear down the strongholds of satan. Their mandate is to continue to search for the deeper things of God while continuing to ushering people into His presence. On May 8, 2004 Psalmist Eric Armstead & Ministers of Worship released “Heart of a Worshiper Vol. 1”. The CD effort was well received and continues to be a blessing all over the country.
In 2007 Ministers of Worship are still being a blessing to the kingdom of God. God has shown favor on this choir having toured up and down the east coast and opening for some of gospel music’s greatest artists such as Byron Cage and others.
Now, God ushers Psalmist Armstead into the next dimension of ministry with the much anticipated sophomore project “The Mission of Song”.
Produced by Minister Tyrone Powell (Inside Out), “The Mission of Song” is an awesome collection of music sure to have the listener shouting for the joy. Psalmist Armstead has penned an anointed, uplifting, and encouraging variety of songs that church choirs across the country will be begging their choir directors to sing. The “The Mission of Song” teaches through song and the exalted word the understanding of praise, worship, adoration, and various other songs sung in the church today.
Psalmist Eric Armstead & Ministers of Worship are joined on this project with singers having remarkable gifting. National BGR recording artist Izzy (In Awe of You) makes an appearance singing the song “Highest Praise”. His vocal ability and anointing will have the listener shouting Hallelujah! Donna Armstead -Woolfolk makes her debut singing “God Has Done So Much For Me”. This ‘churchy’ song is full of energy and down home traditional gospel flavor. He has also included on the project several powerful, anointed, and used men and women of God teaching and encouraging through His holy word. Titled “Mission”, these tracks are where these phenomenal pastors and evangelists teach, instruct, and inspire the listener on various subjects. 1Samuel 3:11 states “Behold I will do a thing in Israel at which both the ears of all who hear of it shall tingle” Hear oh children of Israel, God is doing a thing through “The Mission of Song”!
